XP Power Introduces 100W AC-DC Power Supply for Industrial, Technical & Medical Equipment Applications
XP Power officially announces the launch of the FCB100 series of AC-DC power supplies. The series is certified for Class I and II (no ground connection) operation for medical (including BF), ITE and household standards. With Class B conductive and radiant in classI and II configurations, and support for convection and fan-cooled applications, this bare-board model is ideal for medical, home healthcare, test & measurement, broadcast, networking, communications, and other industrial equipment
All modules in the FCB100 series accept an ultra-wide operating input voltage range of 80 to 264 VAC, supporting global compatibility and home medical applications, with no-load power consumption of less than 0.3 W. There are six standard output voltages available: 12 V, 15 V, 19 V, 24 V, 36 V, and 48 VDC.
The FCB100 series can operate in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. The FCB100 series can be used in a wide range of applications. With external forced air cooling, the product can deliver 100W at +50°C, derating linearly to 50W at +70°C. The product can be cooled by natural convection for low noise, with outputs up to 80/85W at +50°C, derating linearly to 40/45W at +70°C, depending on the model. This bare board type measures 101.6 mm x 50.8 mm x 31.8 mm (4 in x 2 in x 1.25 in) and weighs 160 grams (0.35 lbs). In addition, product standards include overvoltage, overload, short circuit, and overtemperature protection.
The product's input to output insulation of 4000VAC (2 x MOPP), input to ground 1500VAC (1 x MOPP), and output to ground 1500VAC (1 x MOPP) combined with low leakage currents make it suitable for use in BF-rated medical equipment. Safety approvals include IEC/ES/EN 60601-1, IEC/UL/EN 62368-1, IEC 60950-1, and IEC 60335. The product also complies with EN55035 and IEC 60601-1-2, 4th Edition EMC standards.
