The series consists of nominal 12V, 15V, and 24V input voltages, as well as optional dual, unregulated output voltages for asymmetrical positive and negative gate drive voltages in a wide range of semiconductor switches, including IGBTs, GaN, Silicon, and Silicon Carbide MOSFETS (Gold Oxygen Half Field Effect Transistors). Unlike many similar products on the market, the PUC-D2BG series features 6kVDC isolation voltage and enhanced insulation suitable for 250VAC operating voltage and certified safe to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1.
The PUC-D2BG series is ideal for isolated "high-side" gate drive power supplies and has a low isolation capacitance, typically less than 6pF, which prevents excessive circulating currents at the high dV/dt commonly found in typical bridge applications such as motor drives and inverters.
The products are rated for use from -40°C to +100°C ambient temperature (with power derating) and can be used at full power at +85°C in convection-cooled environments. This performance is achieved by a highly efficient design that achieves 80% typical efficiency. The products have no minimum load requirements and provide continuous short circuit protection.
