ECONOMY POWER 2.5 Series Three Connectors

TE Connectivity offers three products in its popular Economy Power 2.5 (EP 2.5) connector series: single-row, double-row wire-to-wire connectors, and dual-row wire-to-board connectors. TE also equips the product with two types of crimping dies, fully automatic and semi-automatic, for customers to choose, thus eliminating the need for customers to develop crimping dies by themselves and bringing them a complete solution.

All three products have a terminal pitch of 2.5 mm (0.098”), and have all the features of TE’s existing EP 2.5 products, including high-efficiency plastic plugs, terminals, connecting sockets and terminal locking tabs (TPA).

Additional features of TE's EP 2.5 connector product line include:

• The external latch designed on the plug plastic shell can ensure a tight fit with the socket

• The anti-wrong-insertion concave-convex design on the plug and socket helps to avoid wrong matching during mating

• Anti-tangle feature prevents wires from getting tangled up in the latch

• Asymmetrical shape to ensure correct connection (terminals can only be inserted into receptacles from one end)

All TE EP 2.5 product variants are available with glow wire compliance to IEC 60335-1.
