TDK Launches Compact Shielded Transformer Suitable for Ultrasonic Applications
TDK Corporation (TSE: 6762) has launched the new EPCOS B78302A* series of miniature transformers, ideal for ultrasonic applications. The new series of transformers with E5 cores and SMD (surface mount) design are available in three sizes with turns ratios ranging from 1:1:10.8 to 1:1:15.3 and inductances ranging from 2 mH to 4 mH. The designed operating frequency range is 50 kHz to 300 kHz, and the operating temperature is -40°~125°. The new transformer has passed AEC-Q200 reliability verification, has a compact size (8.1 x 7.0 x 7.0 mm), and uses shielded windings to better suppress interference.
Transformers are mainly used in ultrasonic applications to achieve optimal impedance matching between driver ICs and ultrasonic transmitters or receivers, typical applications include parking assistance, industrial robots, drones and logistics robots, automated guided vehicles (AGV) and liquid level measurement systems.
