Harwin announced that it has expanded the Gecko MT High Reliability (Hi-Rel) connector contact layout options, the newly added product variants can effectively complement the existing symmetrical 2 power/8 signal and 4 power/8 signal contact layout.

The newly added product variants contain 6 new contact layouts with 2 to 6 power contacts and 4 to 24 signal contacts. These new models have an asymmetric construction with power contacts on one end and data signal contacts on the other. The power contacts are rated at 10A and the signal contacts are rated at 2.8A (maximum).

For every contact layout, Harwin offers a range of hardware fixings. All male and female connectors are capable of standard polarity or reverse securing, and feature front and rear panel mount options, as well as board mount fixtures to reduce stress on solder joints. This new addition includes a total of 72 Gecko MT connector variants.

Like all Gecko connectors in the Harwin HRi line, these latest models feature high resistance to shock and vibration, as well as compact size and lightweight construction. They support an operating temperature range of -65 to +150°C and 1000 (minimum) mating cycles. Evaluation samples are available upon request.
