Caseless motion controller
The FAULHABER product family has added an extremely compact motion controller without housing. The new motion controllers are especially suitable for integration in the fields of machine construction and medical technology applications. It has a voltage of 36 V, a current of 3 A (peak current 9 A), and a maximum power of about 100 W. It is suitable for DC motors with encoders, brushless drives and linear motors.
Small motors and ultra-small motors can only reliably perform their drive functions in combination with a matching motion controller. That's why drive specialist FAULHABER offers a wide range of motors, including a range of optional motion controllers designed in different power classes, with or without housing, for every application. The family of housingless motion controllers now has a new member: The MC3603, thanks to its compact size, is ideal for integration in machine building and medical technology applications. With a voltage of 36 V and a current of 3 A (9 A peak current), the new motion controller covers the medium power range up to about 100 W. It works with "normal" DC motors with encoders, brushless drives and linear motors. Their input and output options and encoder interface are exactly the same as other products in the series. Data communication methods include USB, RS232, CANopen and EtherCAT.
With the new MC 3603, the motion controller now covers the entire range of applications typical of small and ultra-small motors, from the postage stamp-sized MC 3001 (power 30 W, current 1 A, peak current 2 A) to the series The largest member of the MC 5010 (current 10 A, peak current 30 A) (designed for installation in switchgear, mainly tested in the industrial field). All motion controllers comply with current EMC regulations. That's why drive experts have conducted in-depth research on this complex topic. Not only has the hardware been properly optimized, but the documentation has also been redesigned to best support users when authenticating their devices.
