The new S-19954/5 Series is a step-down DC-DC controller with 5.5V operation and 1A output in the industry's(*1) HSNT-8(1616)B (1.6×1.6×t0.41mm) package. While conventional DC-DC controller circuits require more than five external components, the S-19954/5 Series has a built-in feedback resistor circuit (*2) for setting the output voltage and a phase compensation circuit (*3), which allows the application circuit to be constructed using one coil and two capacitors. These features have made it possible to achieve the industry's smallest mounting area(*4) (45% less than before), and have become the mainstay of camera module miniaturisation.　　

In addition, the "S-19954/5 Series" is equipped with a Power Good function that monitors that the output voltage of the IC is within the normal range, and when the output voltage is out of the specified range, an error flag is notified to the microcomputer, contributing to improved system safety.
