AMD Validated Solution Provides ODM Partners with Simplified Path to AI Inference, Sensor Fusion, Industrial Connectivity, Control and Visualisation AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) today announced AMD Embedded+, a new architectural solution that combines AMD Ryzen embedded processors and AMD Versal Adaptive SoCs on a single integrated board to deliver scalable and adaptive AI applications. This new architectural solution combines AMD Ryzen (Raphaelon) embedded processors and AMD Versal Adaptive SoCs on a single integrated board to provide a scalable and power-efficient solution that accelerates time-to-market for original design manufacturer (ODM) partners.

The Embedded+ integrated computing platform is validated by AMD to enable ODM customers to reduce time-to-market and build faster without expending additional hardware and R&D resources. ODM integration with the Embedded+ architecture enables the development of low-power, small form factor and long lifecycle designs for medical, industrial and automotive applications using a common software platform.

In automation systems, the value of sensor data diminishes over time, and that data must be run on the best possible information to enable latency and deterministic response," said Chetan Khona, director of industrial, vision, medical and scientific marketing at AMD. In industrial and medical applications, many decisions need to be made in milliseconds.Embedded+ maximises the value of partner and customer data, and its high energy efficiency and high-performance arithmetic enables partners and customers to focus on meeting customer and market needs."

The Embedded+ architecture is the first of its kind to combine leading AMD x86 computing with integrated graphics and programmable hardware for critical AI inference and sensor applications. Adaptive computing excels in deterministic, low-latency processing, while the AI engine boosts high-performance-per-watt inference. Rui Long embedded processors include high-performance 'Zen' and Radeon graphics, which also provide exceptional rendering and display options to enhance the 4K multimedia experience, as well as a built-in video codec for 4K H.264/H.265 codecs.

The combination of low-latency processing and high-performance-per-watt inference delivers high performance for mission-critical tasks, including real-time integration of adaptive computing with flexible I/O, an AI engine for AI inference, and AMD Radeon graphics into a single solution that leverages the benefits of each technology.
