XMOS launches XVF3800: a high-performance voice processor widely used in different fields

2023-08-21 09:48:44

XMOS launched the XVF3800 voice processor, which aims to provide high-performance and fast-to-market solutions for enterprise-level and consumer-level voice conferencing platforms.

The XVF3800 processor supports a four-way microphone array, which can help various conferencing equipment, audio and video all-in-ones, portable speakerphones, personal computers, gaming monitors and other display solutions pass Microsoft Teams and Zoom certification. XMOS provides the most advanced conference system voice processing algorithm, which can provide high-quality audio in complex noise environments, and the flexible architecture of the processor itself can enable engineers to optimize specific acoustic characteristics according to the characteristics of their own products to achieve full optimization performance goals.

Key features of the product include:

  • Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) – removes far-end echoes picked up by the microphone, enabling the XVF3800 to extract clear speech signals even at high volume speaker output

  • Adaptive multi-directional directional pickup—tracks static and non-stationary sound sources, identifies direction of arrival, isolates target sounds, improves double-talk and reverberation performance

  • Noise Suppression - Eliminates diffuse noise sources (air conditioning, road noise, etc.) for accurate, consistent voice capture

  • Automatic Gain Control (AGC) – Ensures consistent pickup volume at different distances.

In addition to a dedicated microphone interface and support for two-way linear microphone arrays, XVF3800 also integrates a USB2.0 interface and an I2S audio interface that can support 16kHz or 48kHz sampling.

The XVF3800 is currently available to early adopters and will be available in the next quarter together with the development kit XK-VOICE-SQ66. The processor can support high performance and help customers optimize system cost at the same time, which is based on XMOS' latest high-performance VocalFusion series algorithms and software packages.

Aneet Chopra, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at XMOS commented: “The modern workforce is working in a more diverse and flexible environment than ever before, and as a result expectations for their communication tools have never been higher.” Considering this At one point, enterprise and consumer software providers like Microsoft Teams and Zoom are raising the bar to meet these expectations. One-stop solutions that provide high performance and are easy to integrate need to keep pace with new product innovations and experiences. "

"The XVF3800 provides a reliable, cost-optimized solution for a wide variety of diverse applications, providing the price/performance required to bring innovative new products to market quickly and successfully."
