AKM ultra-high sensitivity 3D magnetic sensor

Asahi Kasei Microelectronics' (AKM) 3D magnetic sensor, the AK09940A, realizes the world's top* ultra-low-noise, ultra-low-power characteristics using a TMR magnetic sensor, and is a compatible upgrade version of the AK09940.The AK09940A is configured with an additional low-power mode, high-speed sampling mode, and an external trigger mode for an even wider range of applications compared to the AK09940.


Utilizing the ultra-high sensitivity and ultra-low noise characteristics of the AK09940A, it can be used in AR/VR devices or other wearable devices to improve the dynamic tracking accuracy of the devices.


The AK09940A is capable of high-precision three-axis measurements of small magnetic field shaking, magnetic field leakage, and magnetic field deformation, making it suitable for fault detection and position detection in unspecified weak magnetic field scenarios. In addition, the AK09940A's ultra-low power consumption enables it to be used flexibly in wearable devices, IoT devices, and other products that require high battery size.

AK09940A is currently in mass production.
