TCL Huaxing intends to build a pilot production line
In the afternoon of 23 January, TCL Group and Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone Administrative Committee signed the "next-generation printing OLED new display technology pilot production line and 6th generation flexible OLED module expansion project cooperation agreement". The agreement project is to build the 5.5 generation printing OLED display panel pilot production line and annual capacity of 10 million pieces of module production line, after completion is expected to achieve global leadership in printing display technology and products.
Printing display is considered to be China's breakthrough in the field of large-size OLED South Korean manufacturers evaporation route and QD-OLED route important technology way. In December last year, TCL Huaxing officially announced to the public at the 2023 Global Display Ecology Conference that it would realise the mass production of printed OLED panels in the second half of 2024, and take the lead in applying them to special display products for IT (flat panels, laptops, and monitors) and healthcare. "We are taking medium size as a breakthrough to accelerate the industrialisation of printed OLED." TCL Huaxing CEO Zhao Jun said in a media interview.
