Fujitsu Introduces 512Kbit FeRAM for Automotive Grade I2C Interface with Operating Temperature up to 125 Degrees Celsius
Fujitsu announces the automotive-grade I2C interface 512Kbit FeRAM, the MB85RC512LY.
The MB85RC512LY is a non-volatile memory with a storage density of 512Kbit and operates at a low supply voltage of 1.7V to 1.95V. The operating current is extremely low, e.g., 0.4mA maximum at an operating frequency of 3.4MHz.
The product ensures 10 trillion read/write cycles at 125 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for automotive applications such as industrial robotics and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Since the new FeRAM has an I2C interface, customers whose platforms use the I2C interface do not need to make major design changes when developing final products using memory components.
With these features, the new FeRAM products solve the following problems arising from the use of memory products.
The automotive grade FeRAM family offers a choice of 3.3V and 1.8V versions for I2C and SPI interface products. With the introduction of the MB85RC512LY, seven new products have been added to the AEC-Q100 compliant FeRAM family since last year. In addition, four new 1Mbit products are currently under development.
